Installing and configuring one site takes a day or two. The timeline is set by the catalogue, not hardware: mapping your database to IKPU, setting up weighed goods and the opening stocktake runs from a few days to several weeks for a grocery with thousands of lines.
Retail automation and NetPOS till systems in Tashkent
Automating a shop in Tashkent is no longer a convenience decision: since April 2026 the till is legally obliged to refuse expired stock, refuse cash for restricted IKPU codes and send every receipt to the fiscal data operator. We build the point of sale whole: from the socket under the counter to the catalogue, stock ledger and reports.
Talk to usWhat actually sits on the counter
A cashier's station is not one box: a NetPOS till or smart register, scanner, printer, cash drawer, scales and card terminal. A smart register suffices where a receipt is rung up every three minutes; with a queue at peak and twelve thousand lines in the catalogue, you need a monoblock and wired connection.
The scanner deserves a note of its own: it must be a 2D imager, not a laser. ASL BELGISI marking is DataMatrix — a two-dimensional symbology no laser can physically read.
Label-printing scales generate an internal EAN-13 with a 20–29 prefix carrying weight or price; that template must match in the scales, the till software and the product card, or the till reports an unknown item.
- 2D imager: DataMatrix marking codes and ordinary barcodes
- Label-printing scales, aligned with the till on barcode template
- Uzcard and Humo terminal, single QR — Payme, Click, Oson, Paynet
Fiscalisation: what the law requires in 2026
The law offers two legal routes: an online cash register — a physical device — and a virtual cash register, software with no hardware of its own. Only models in the State Register may be used. The fiscal module is issued and installed by an accredited technical service centre; registration is electronic, through the taxpayer's cabinet. It needs an electronic signature, valid two years; the module costs 1 BRV a year.
From 1 April 2026, under decree UP-246 of 10 December 2025, the till must restrict cash payment by IKPU code: alcohol and tobacco account for roughly 22,500 codes, fuel and EV charging 42, plus state fees. Nothing above 25 million sum may be paid in cash, agricultural produce excepted. Prescription medicine needs the prescription QR scanned; expired stock will not go through at all.
One consequence is worth absorbing before rollout: if a single line falls under a restriction, the whole receipt becomes cashless.
IKPU and marking: a data project, not a hardware one
Hardware goes in over a day; the product database takes weeks and sets your opening date. Every receipt line carries an IKPU code from the state catalogue at tasnif.soliq.uz, so the whole range must be mapped to it. We map it with your stock controller and leave a written rule for new products, or it drifts apart again within a quarter.
ASL BELGISI came in under Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 737 of 20 November 2020, and the covered list keeps widening: tobacco, medicines, water and soft drinks, appliances, and from 1 May 2026 fertilisers. Since March 2026 tills run in permissive mode — the register refuses the sale when a code is unverified or the shelf life has passed.
Stock, loyalty and numbers that agree
The point is not faster receipts, but that the till, the stock ledger and the reports arrive at the same number. Goods-in, stocktakes, write-offs and repricing are configured so the gap between shelf and system is explainable rather than measured in multiples.
Discrepancies come from configuration, not indiscipline: weighed goods with a mismatched barcode template, and voids left without a trace — line voids, no-sale drawer opens and manual discounts sit behind a supervisor's authorisation, so each has an author.
Loyalty runs on a phone number or card; for a chain, one report by site, cashier and hour.
The infrastructure under the till
Till-software vendors stop here; we start here. An online or virtual cash register may run offline for up to 24 hours; once the link returns, the queued receipts must reach the fiscal data operator. Twenty-four hours is not headroom, it is a deadline — it turns "the internet drops sometimes" into a regulatory risk.
So the checkout is engineered accordingly: UPS on the tills, router and switch, not just the computer; a backup LTE channel with failover; a separate VLAN so guest Wi-Fi and cameras do not share capacity with the tills.
A camera over the till linked to receipt data is the cheapest control there is: a suspicious void opens a video clip of that second. We install the networks and cameras ourselves, so tills, CCTV and access control never need reconciling between three contractors.
Common questions
The number of till stations; the equipment mix, since label-printing scales and a card terminal cost far more than a scanner and printer; the volume of catalogue work; and what already exists on site: network, power at the checkout, UPS. Licensing is billed monthly per site.
Your company's electronic signature and taxpayer's cabinet access; without them the fiscal module cannot be registered. Then the product range in any readable form, a floor plan with till positions, a decision on the service centre, and one named person responsible for goods data — without whom the project stalls in week two.
The fiscal module is issued, installed and serviced by an accredited technical service centre — its legal function, not ours. We prepare the paperwork, file through the taxpayer's cabinet and coordinate the centre. Liability for compliance stays with the shop owner even when the centre pushes the firmware. The specific till and virtual-register models are chosen for the type of outlet and agreed with the service centre before purchase.
The till keeps working offline and queues receipts, but they must reach the operator within twenty-four hours — hence a backup channel and a UPS rather than trust in the provider. On hardware: spares for the scanner and receipt printer, call-outs under the service agreement, remote diagnosis. Response times are written into the service agreement and depend on how many tills you run and whether you trade seven days a week.
Equipment is bought in your name and stays yours; we supply and configure without locking you in. The product and sales database is yours, exportable any time. After go-live: cashier training, support through the first weeks, then maintenance — updates for catalogue and marking rules, which change several times a year.
